Time: 5:00pm

Location: Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall

The Foundation of MAPI invites you to enjoy an evening of the finest music of India featuring "An Evening with Maestros / Concert 2010" at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall (DSO) on Sunday, September 12 beginning at 6 p.m. A social hour begins at 5:00 p.m.

The award winning virtuosos of Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ghazal King Anup Jalota, and Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia have been described as brilliant and exciting in their presentation of both traditional and classical Indian music.

"A Concert of Maestros" is FOMAPI's premiere fundraising event. This year MAPI brings the unique experience of the rich music of India to an even larger audience. Music is a language onto itself and one that we can use to transcend cultural and ethnic boundaries as we join together to raise funds for our healthcare initiatives--what could be better?

The proceeds from this concert will support the mission of FOMAPI and the very worthy causes that it supports including the the MAPI free clinics and educational awareness as it relates to heart attacks, stroke and cancer. Tickets are $250, $200, $100, $75--balcony seat tickets are $50 and $35.
