AAPI Calls on Congress to Avoid Medicare Cuts
Washington, D.C. – Today, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin released the following statement after sending letters to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader John Boehner urging congressional action to avoid Medicare cuts scheduled to take place on December 1.
“It is vital that Congress act before a scheduled 23% cut to Medicare reimbursements occurs on December 1,” said AAPI President Dr. Ajeet R. Singhvi. “We must ensure our seniors continue to have access to the health care they need and provide certainty to the physicians who treat them. Congress must act before December 1 to provide a temporary solution to this problem.”
Letters were sent to both Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader John Boehner today signed by Dr. Singhvi and Dr. Krishan K. Aggarwal, chair of AAPI’s legislative committee.
