Behind his quiet demeanor, Dr. Ajay Lodha, the President of AAPI hides a power house of entrepreneurial skills. Dr. Lodha has extensive background of overseeing quality assurance and quality improvement. He wants “AAPI to be a platform in helping our young physicians coming from India to seek residencies and to help them in settlement and to get jobs.” The New York-based Dr. Lodha wants to increase the current membership, while contributing to the fund raising efforts.
Dr. Gautam Samadder built his career on hard & dedicated work in the private and public sectors. His passion for knowledge, determination and perseverance brought him to the United States for higher education. As President & CEO of Columbus Sleep Consultants, a business he built from the ground up, Gautam accumulated an extensive breadth of knowledge and experience in how to make an organization flourish. As President-Elect of AAPI, Dr. Gautam Samadder is dedicated to bringing the organization renewed energy and participation.
Graduate from Nagpur medical college in 1972 and cardiologist practicing in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Naresh Parikh, the Vice President of AAPI, is currently supervising 22 providers in multispecialty group practice, since 1986. Previously done many health fairs and contributed in fund raising events such as Shankar Mahadevan concert. Shreya Ghoshal and Hema Malini shows. As AAPI Vice President he wants to “bring more awareness of AAPI to all practicing physicians of Indian origin, by promoting membership and fund raising activities.
Dr. Suresh Reddy, an Interventional Neuroradiologist, is presently the AAPI Secretary as well as the past president of Andhra Pradesh Medical Graduates. He is the President of Osmania Medical Alumni and is on the executive committee of Indian Medical Association of New England. “I will help AAPI in working on the theme of "Unity in Diversity" on which India stands on. I will also try to align all the forces in AAPI so we will be a huge strong organization,” Dr. Reddy says.
Dr. R. Manju Sachdev, a Pediatrician of Victoria, Texas, a former SW Central Regional director and the Chairperson of Women's Committee of AAPI, Dr. Sachdev, as a current AAPI Treasurer, wants to maintain transperency of all AAPI accounts.
Dr. Seema Jain, AAPI Immediate Past President and a Board Certified Psychiatrist, is the President of Highland Psychiatric Associates & Medical Director of the NJ ADHD Center, practicing for the last 23 years in New Jersey. Dr. Jain had served as Chief of Psychiatry at Newton Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Madhu Aggarwal, a practicing ob-gyn for 30 years in Weirton and Steubenville, is a past president of TAPI and Hindu Jain Temple, and currently serving as vice chair of AAPI Charitable Foundation and Board of Trustees. Dr. Aggarwal is “Interested in AAPI taking more charitable work to give back to society and engage young doctors in sewa work in addition to socialization.”
