Dr. Gautam Samadder built his career on hard & dedicated work in the private and public sectors. His passion for knowledge, determination and perseverance brought him to the United States for higher education. As President & CEO of Columbus Sleep Consultants, a business he built from the ground up, Gautam accumulated an extensive breadth of knowledge and experience in how to make an organization flourish. As President of AAPI, Dr. Gautam Samadder is dedicated to bringing the organization renewed energy and participation.

I am Practicing Cardiologist for 30 Years in Atlanta, GA affiliated with EMORY CIN. Currently CEO of Georgia clinic with 16 locations mostly in Northeast Metro Atlanta. <30 Providers group> Also Chairmen of IPA of Georgia clinical quality Physicians with Wellcare contract. Serving Secretary of GGDDA, Gujrati doctors and dentist association of Georgia 2017. Other interest are Managing Hotels including brand name Hilton, Hampton. Marriott and Holiday Inn.

Vision for AAPI

It is my great honor to serve as President Elect 2017 AAPI .MY duties are increasing membership and engagement of physicians with AAPI. Review Current Bylaws and amend them as needed. Strengthen relationship with India's Health related Infrastructure .like project LIFE and Kidney disease research in Rajkot India.

I would like to see harmony between different languages driven division In AAPI. Define roles and responsibilities of Regional Directors.

Dr. Suresh Reddy, an Interventional Neuroradiologist, is presently the AAPI Vice President as well as the past president of Andhra Pradesh Medical Graduates. He is the President of Osmania Medical Alumni and is on the executive committee of Indian Medical Association of New England. “I will help AAPI in working on the theme of "Unity in Diversity" on which India stands on. I will also try to align all the forces in AAPI so we will be a huge strong organization,” Dr. Reddy says.

Sudhakar Jonnalagadda is board certified specializing in gastroenterology, hepatology and transplantation medicine (liver). He is also a former clinical professor at Medical College of Georgia. He has a private practice with an adjoining Endoscopy Center in Douglas Georgia USA. He is married to Uma Jonnalagadda MD who has a family practice. Together they have one son Veeraen who is attending medical school. Dr. Jonnalagadda received his undergraduate and graduate education in India and specialized surgery education in Vienna, Austria and USA. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastroenterology Endoscopy, European Association of Study for Liver and American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Jonnalagadda has practiced in many states including Georgia, Pennsylvania, Florida, New York and the countries of India, Germany and Nigeria. His professional interests include research for patients with Chronic Hepatitis C and community awareness for the need of colorectal screenings. He has recently been elected as the secretary for the American Association Physicians of Indian Heritage (AAPI) and is the current president elect for Coffee Regional Medical Center.

As Secretary of AAPI, besides being a liaison between the Executive Committee, Board of Trustees and Members of AAPI, maintaining corporate records, keeping proper minutes of the meeting, storing important organization documents electronically, I will ensure that the organization complies with the applicable federal, state, and local laws and adheres to its mission. As AAPI Officer, I will put the interests of the organization before my personal and professional interests when acting on behalf of the organization in a decision-making capacity.

Behind his quiet demeanor, Dr. Ajay Lodha, the President of AAPI hides a power house of entrepreneurial skills. Dr. Lodha has extensive background of overseeing quality assurance and quality improvement. He wants “AAPI to be a platform in helping our young physicians coming from India to seek residencies and to help them in settlement and to get jobs.” The New York-based Dr. Lodha wants to increase the current membership, while contributing to the fund raising efforts.

Originally from Naperville, IL, I graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA in 2014. Currently in my 3rd year of Internal Medicine Residency at Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades in North Bergen, NJ with an interest in the field of Endocrinology. I have been active on the Executive Board of AAPI MSRF and am honored to be President this year. I have been active in a National Resident Wellness Task Force and the National Physician Wellness Task Force with the American Osteopathic Association working diligently to increase awareness of physician burnout and to promote In the coming year I plan promote the practice of mindfulness and meditation within the MSRF community as I have within my own residency program.

My Vision for AAPI is to promote and empower the upcoming physicians. The main areas through which this can be achieved is through Innovation through the various research initiatives including our research symposium as well as encouraging more collaboration with medical technology companies, and Guidance through a mentorship program. I would also like to expand upon the current Community Service goals to a more local level in the many medically underserved regions of our country.

As AAPI MSRF President, my main goals for this year are expand our grassroots effort to encourage more medical students and residents to participate in AAPI. We are also starting a new Medicine and Technology initiative to promote more collaboration and innovation in addition to expanding our Mentorship Program.
